I have spent all my working life in the field of food science and nutrition, graduating 40 years ago with my degree from Queen Margaret College, Edinburgh before completing a post graduate teaching qualification. I enjoyed teaching with a successful career, becoming a principal teacher of food & nutrition within the health & well-being faculty, writing national curriculum courses, teaching and examining youngsters to advanced higher level.

My belief in the impact of nutrition on health and quality of life drove me to study for three years. In 2015 I qualified as a registered Nutritional Therapist from the College of Naturopathic Medicine. For eight years I combined my principal teacher role whilst building up my successful consultancy practice.

I advise clients on a wide range of issues surrounding health, well-being and lifestyle. Scientific research reveals fact from fiction, in the all too often confusing food and nutrition messages given in the media.

I left teaching in June 2023 to focus entirely on my nutrition consultancy practice. Absolutely the right choice for me, allowing me to extend my practice and join the Westbourne Team, with its unique health and well-being concept.

I have undertaken additional study within nutrition. I am a certified health and well-being coach; nutrigenomic practitioner and recently successfully completed my qualification in nutrition support for cancer clients before, during and beyond their treatment.

I am passionate about food and its role in the promotion of optimum health. I always consider your uniqueness in terms of current health and body function, combined with your goals, lifestyle and food preferences. Good food choices and plans are made enjoyable and achievable for you.

I look forward to sharing with you mindful eating, harnessing the power of food to optimise your health and well-being.
