As a native Glaswegian I was proud to be given a solid educational foundation from Glasgow University Medical School. I subsequently completed my GP training in 1996 and have worked in the NHS for around 30 years, over a decade of which was spent as a GP principal in Springburn with links to the Medical School where I am still an honorary Senior Lecturer.

I have also enjoyed working as a family team for over five years in the Shetland Isles and the Central belt of Scotland . …all of which has paved the way for a career enriched with wonderful experiences and the opportunity to learn from so many inspirational teachers from all over the world. In understanding that every individual has their own road to health - reinforces the belief that good quality, authentic patient care is vital to the journey towards optimal health and wellbeing of mind body and spirit.

I have spent many years studying various aspects of integrative medicine from homeopathy to energy medicine to DNA and the gut microbiome and the use of the VA Aquera system and have recently completed an Applied Functional Medicine Mentoring Programme in London.

All these enriching experiences reinforced the belief that good quality, bespoke and authentic patient care is vital to the journey towards optimal health and wellbeing of mind body and spirit. I wanted to combine all my skills with those of other like-minded professionals in a warm and nurturing environment ...and so, Westbourne Medical Studios was born with the aim of providing a 360o approach to patient care– tranquil professional clinical rooms adjacent to yoga and creative arts studio, a family demonstration kitchen for lifestyle and nutritional medicine, a relaxation room for massage therapies and a meditation garden.
